Khruangbin brought out Yasiin Bey (Mos Def) during their set on Thursday at the Primavera Sound 2022 festival in Barcelona. The rapper emerged toward the end of the Texas-based trio’s appearance at the ongoing event held at Parc del Fòrum.
The KhruangBey collaboration occurred during a medley that featured Khruangbin’s “María También,” Dick Dale’s “Misirlou” as well as the Incredible Bongo Band’s “Apache.” Bey, who also joined Gorillaz at Primavera, previously performed a similar version of “María También” during a 2019 concert in Chicago. The song originally appeared on Khruangbin’s 2018 album Con Todo El Mundo.
