Singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Scott Ferber released his debut solo album, Mine, Yours & Ours. After 12 years behind the drum kit with Colorado-based jam band, The Jauntee, the release marks Ferber’s first appearance front and center.
Ferber graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2012 and has spent the last decade touring the country with The Jauntee, writing and producing music, and fine tuning his craft. His background in studio engineering, songwriting and performance has come full circle in this debut release.
“I’ve put a tremendous amount of care and love into this album,” Ferber said. “The songs are personal, yet relatable, and the feelings are real. Life is full of obstacles; relationships breed complexities; and expressing emotions can be a challenge. In the cathartic process of writing and recording this album I’ve confronted those hurdles head on in the best way I know how: through music.”
Featuring bandmates Caton Sollenberger (bass/guitar) and Tyler Adams (organ) on select tracks throughout, Mine, Yours & Ours is a departure from The Jauntee sound while still preserving the whimsically infatuating elements of Ferber’s songwriting style. With a keen focus on lyrical content, rich vocal harmonies and orchestral style arrangements, this album transcends the typical jam band genre sound and puts Scott Ferber on the map as an authentic songwriter.
