Eddie Vedder Joins The Strokes In Seattle

46

The Strokes welcomed Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder as their special guest last night in Seattle. Vedder teamed with the band on “Juicebox” during their set opening for Red Hot Chili Peppers on Wednesday at T-Mobile Park.

Last night marked the beginning of The Strokes’ time on the road supporting the Chili Peppers. Vocalist Julian Casablancas and his bandmates treated fans in Seattle to a nine-song, career-spanning set that included cuts from four different studio albums.

Hometown hero Eddie Vedder emerged three songs in for “Juicebox” off The Strokes’ 2006 album, First Impressions Of Earth. Vedder previously collaborated with the band on “Juicebox” on a number of occasions including at the 2019 Ohana Festival and as part of a May 2006 Strokes concert in New York City. Eddie was fresh off Pearl Jam’s European Tour and didn’t show any ill effects of the vocal issues that led to a handful of cancelations.
