The famously ultra-affluent Middle Eastern metropolis of Dubai will host a “lunar colony” on Earth.

Canadian architectural company Moon World Resorts announced plans to build a $5 billion resort measuring 735 feet tall and modeled after the moon. According to Robb Report, the area surrounding the surface, or “lunar colony,” will approximate the sensation of actually being on the moon.

Exactly how the lunar experience will be created on Earth is unclear, but there are also plans for an astronaut training platform that will serve various space agencies, so some serious degree of authenticity can be expected.

Private villas housed in the main building’s disc-shaped superstructure can be booked or bought, with the latter option granting buyers access to a members’ only club. Other amenities will include an onsite nightclub, event center, public lounge, spa center and even an in-house “moon shuttle” that transports visitors all over the property.

“Moon Dubai will significantly impact every aspect of the UAE’s economy, including tourism, transportation, commercial and residential real estate, infrastructure, financial services, aviation and space, energy, MICE, agriculture, technology and of course education,” says co-founders Sandra G. Matthews and Michael R. Henderson, in a press statement according to Arabian Business.

[It] will be the largest and most successful modern-day tourism project in the MENA region, doubling annual tourism visitations to Dubai based on its global appeal, brand awareness and unique multiple integrated offerings.”

Moon Dubai is yet another one-of-a-kind destination in Dubai, which is already home to world’s tallest building—the 2,716.5-foot Burj Khalifa—and the world’s deepest swimming pool.
