Hot for Crime Live in Los Angeles

Hot For Crime must be getting a lot of buzz for a new band because The Viper Room was packed with fans – rockers, scenesters and hipsters alike on October 3rd. The excited and enthusiastic crowd packed into the club to see this L.A.-based melodic, driving rock band that has a high-octane style of music loaded with very strong musicianship and hook-laden songs that center on women.

Mick Dorn is a powerhouse vocalist with a charismatic and confident style and bore a credible resemblance to a smoldering young William Shatner (a.k.a. James T. Kirk of Star Trek). The rest of the band, including guitarist Chris Cash on guitar; Miles Schon on guitar; and Danny Thompson were the driving, propulsive force that took the arrangements of the songs to another level with a muscular and urgent sound that would fit very well into a stadium or festival setting.

The band’s latest release is AP|ART. The name draws from the collective experience of isolation during the pandemic, and how it has influenced the band’s art and relationships. It is also the title of their forthcoming conceptual documentary, which will be filmed in part at the upcoming event.

The group has a memorable presence and easy camaraderie interplay onstage that draws the listener in. Hot For Crime seems destined for success and deserve the massive exposure.
