Bleachers frontman Jack Antonoff made a surprise appearance during The 1975‘s concert on Tuesday night at San Francisco’s Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. The unannounced mid-show performance followed a similar unexpected stage overtaking executed by Phoebe Bridgers on Monday night in Los Angeles.
Like other stops on The 1975’s At Their Very Best Tour, Tuesday’s opening set focused on their 2022 album, Being Funny In A Foreign Language. Antonoff added various instrumentation and co-produced the album alongside The 1975’s Matthew Healy and George Daniel.
After the first set, Antonoff appeared with an acoustic guitar while accompanied by Bleachers saxophonist Zem Audu. The duo then played a medley of Bleachers songs, stringing together “All My Heroes,” “Rollercoaster” and “Don’t Go Dark.”
