Peter Gabriel will hit the road for an ambitious world tour in 2023 starting with newly announced tour dates in the UK & Europe. Gabriel’s i/o The Tour takes its name from his next studio album, the long-awaited follow-up to 2011’s New Blood. Complete details on i/o are forthcoming.
“It’s been a while and I am now surrounded by a whole lot of new songs and am excited to be taking them out on the road for a spin,” Gabriel wrote of an excursion expected to continue in North America next summer and fall. “Look forward to seeing you out there.”
Peter Gabriel will be backed by longtime bandmates Tony Levin, David Rhodes and Manu Katché for his 2023 World Tour. “i/o The Tour will see Peter playing new material from his forthcoming album i/o, as well as delving into his extensive catalogue of music, with hits, fan favourites and the unexpected,” as per a statement announcing the trek.
The first Peter Gabriel tour since his 2016 Rock Paper Scissors excursion with Sting begins in Krakow, Poland on May 18, 2023. Gabriel will then bring his band to Italy, France, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, The Netherlands, Belgium and Switzerland through June 15. A concert at Birmingham’s Utilita Arena on June 17 kicks off a UK swing that also includes stops in London, Glasgow and Manchester. The first leg of the tour concludes with a concert in Dublin, Ireland on June 25.
