Ron Artis II is aboard for ALO’s Silver Saturday Soirée as a special guest. The quartet’s upcoming performance in San Francisco comes as part of their 16th annual Tour d’Amour as per bassist Steve Adams. Stay tuned for details on the rest of the run.
ALO currently consists of Adams, guitarist Lebo (Dan Lebowitz), multi-instrumentalist Zach Gill and drummer Ezra Lipp. Steve Adams, Dan “Lebo” Lebowitz and Zach Gill are co-founding members who took part in the band’s first shows as Animal Liberation Orchestra held in Isla Vista, California in 1998. The trio was bolstered by drummer Jon Nathan and a five-piece horn section at those Santa Barbara area performances. Drummer Dave Brogan came aboard in 2002 and departed the band in 2018. Lipp was made an official member the following year after initially subbing for Brogan.
