‘Austin City Limits’ Reveals Remainder Of Season 48 Lineup & Broadcast Schedule

Pavement, Spoon and The War On Drugs are among the acts featured in the second half of Austin City Limits’ current season. Season 48 resumes on Saturday, January 7 at 7 p.m. CT/8 p.m. ET with Austin City Limits 8th Annual Hall of Fame Honors Sheryl Crow honoring new inductee Sheryl Crow.

Austin City Limits, which is filmed at Austin’s Moody Theatre, airs on PBS (check local listings). Episodes can be streamed at pbs.org/austincitylimits shortly after the initial broadcast. Brandi Carlile, Jason Isbell, Brittney Spencer and Jess Wolfe (Lucius) all performed as part of the tribute to Sheryl Crow documented in the special episode airing on January 7.

Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats and Adia Victoria share the hour set to premiere on Saturday, January 14. Then, Austin’s own Adrian Quesada (Black Pumas) makes his solo Austin City Limits appearance as he brings his Boleros Psicodélicos LP to the show airing on January 21.

The War On Drugs return to Austin City Limits on January 28, while Pavement will make their debut with the episode premiering on February 4. Texas native Maren Morris makes her first appearance on February 11 followed by an hour devoted to Austin-based band Spoon on February 18. Season 48 concludes with Austin City Limits 8th Annual Hall of Fame Honors Joe Ely. The tribute to the renowned Texan will feature his The Flatlands collaborators, Jimmie Dale Gilmore and Butch Hancock, as well as Rodney Crowell and Marcia Ball.

“After a historic kick-off to our new season this Fall, Austin City Limits rolls into the New Year with another round of firsts and favorites,” stated Austin City Limits executive producer Terry Lickona in a press release. “For the first time ever, we’ll split our annual Hall of Fame celebration into two full episodes. We’ll showcase a unique Latin music genre that has never been presented on American television, plus some rock, indie and country music favorites – something for every musical palette.”
