Northeast Pennsylvania-based quartet Brendan Brisk Band will release a new EP entitled Never Everywhere through Astrology Days Records on February 10, 2023. The EP’s latest single, “Sofa Circuit,” premieres today with a Ryan Wood-directed video exclusively via JamBase.
Brendan Brisk Band — vocalist/guitarist Brendan Brisk, trumpeter Miles Orfanella, bassist Bernard Gavlick, drummer Justin Malinowski and keyboardist Angelo Miraglia — recorded the follow-up to 2020’s Relaxylvania over the course of a week with Matt Molchany at his Shards Recording Studio facility in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The EP was mixed by Phil Joly (Common, Daft Punk, Lana Del Rey).
“This song is about overcoming depression and not being stuck on your couch all day,” Brisk wrote of “Sofa Circuit,” the first track off Never Everywhere. “Life is tough! I want to remind everyone that the strength is within us to push forward and become the best versions of ourselves.”
“We wanted the music video to be fun and quirky,” added Brisk of the visual. “There were a lot of strangers interrupting us during the filming to ask what in the world we were doing.”
