Aston Martin is closing the book on the current DBS generation with a hi-po “Ultimate” edition of the V12-powered grand tourer.
Resplendent in a coat of Aston’s signature green, the DBS 770 Ultimate reigns as the British marque’s most powerful production car to date, with its 5.2-liter 12-pot channeling 759 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque to the rear wheels through a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission. Car and Driver reports the curvy car will accelerate to 60 mph in 3.2 seconds on its way to 211 mph.
Aside from the engine mods, the DBS 770 Ultimate also boasts adjustments to improve handling, including a stiffened suspension, solid-mounted steering column to increase feedback, and adaptive tuners.
The clamshell hood now features a “horseshoe” engine vent and dual-vented splitter to increase airflow to the radiators—these tweaks that also make for a meaner, more muscular aesthetic.
Other design changes include a carbon fiber cantrail, windscreen surround, mirror caps and fender louvre, as well as new 21-rims inspired by the Valkyrie’s multi-spoke design and available in three finishes—shimmering Satin Silver, dark Satin Black, or a darker Diamond-Turned Satin Black.
The DBS 770 Ultimate also gets an interior befitting of its flagship status, with carbon fiber gear shift paddles and Sports Plus Seats trimmed in full semi-aniline leather/Alcantara with a “fluted” quilt and perforation pattern.
There’s also a new trim split, with contrast colors linked to welt and stitching, along with a tailor-made strap and buckle badge featuring a laser-etched DBS 770 Ultimate logo found on the center arm rest.
Rounding out the interior upgrades are a unique set of sill plaques showcasing the Aston Martin Wings, DBS 770 Ultimate logo and numbering indicating the vehicle as one of 300 $387,600 coupes or 199 $415,960 “Volante” convertibles.
Unfortunately, all 499 Aston Martin DBS 770 Ultimate examples were spoken for by the time it was announced to the public, meaning you’ll have to wait for an auction to secure one on the aftermarket.
