Joe Russo’s Almost Dead Postpones Atlanta Concerts Due To Band Member COVID Case

This weekend’s Joe Russo’s Almost Dead run at The Eastern in Atlanta has been postponed after a band member tested positive for COVID-19. The Grateful Dead tribute act will now play the shows on March 3, 4 and 5.

The new dates fall exactly one month after the original dates. Tickets will be valid for the corresponding dates, i.e. tickets purchased for Friday, February 3 can now be used on Friday, March 3. Refunds will be available at point of purchase for ticketholders who cannot make the new dates.

Joe Russo’s Almost Dead are coming off a four-night celebration of their 10th anniversary. The quintet featuring namesake drummer Joe Russo along with guitarists Scott Metzger and Tom Hamilton, bassist Dave Dreiwitz and keyboardist Marco Benevento began the celebratory run at Brooklyn Bowl with help from surprise guest Bob Weir before settling in for three nights at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York.

The shows in Atlanta, originally set for February 3 – 5, are the group’s first and only non-festival appearances in Atlanta besides a concert held at The Tabernacle on February 14, 2019. Read the full note from JRAD regarding the postponement below:
