Billy Strings Adds Denver’s Mission Ballroom To Busy Spring Tour Schedule

37

Billy Strings has added a one-off performance at Denver’s Mission Ballroom to his busy spring tour schedule. The show will take place on May 13th, immediately following the bluegrass torchbearer’s two-night return to Red Rocks Amphitheatre on the 11th and 12th, which is already sold out.

“Looking ahead to Spring… we really wanted one more night with this big ole Mission Ballroom disco ball,” Strings wrote in an announcement posted to social media.

FAIR AXS registrations for tickets are open now. Fans can also earn access to the ticket presale by donating a new or lightly used coat to Denver Rescue Mission at Strings’s second and third shows in Broomfield, CO this Friday and Saturday, February 2nd and 3rd, respectively. Donations can be dropped off in the north lot of 1STBANK Center.

Kicking off tonight, Strings’s Broomfield run will mark his first shows of the year. The three-night stand is already sold out and signals the start of a busy touring itinerary for the bluegrass firebrand, with dates around the Rocky Mountains, East Coast, South, Midwest, Southwest, West Coast, and Texas. Strings celebrated his arrival in Colorado last night by jamming at his hotel with Béla Fleck as Widespread Panic‘s John Bell listened. The casual jam session fueled speculation about special guests for Strings’s Broomfield run. With Fleck and Bell in town and Phil Lesh playing at Mission Ballroom with members of Goose, Trey Anastasio Band, and more the same weekend, the possibilities for collaboration appear promising.
