Rapper Lil Wayne is bringing his Welcome To Tha Carter 2023 tour to 28 cities across North America this spring. Tickets for the 40-year-old performer’s first headlining tour since 2019 go on sale via Ticketmaster this Friday, February 3 at 10 a.m. local venue times.
Lil Wayne launches the trek presented by Young Money, Rolling Loud and Live Nation with a performance at The Fillmore Minneapolis on April 4. Additional Midwest concerts follow in Fargo (North Dakota), Omaha (Nebraska), Madison (Wisconsin), Chicago and Detroit along with a date in Toronto.
The tour rolls down the East Coast next for mid-April stops in Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Silver Spring (Maryland), Charlotte, Raleigh (North Carolina) and Atlanta. From there Lil Wayne heads to Texas via Birmingham (Alabama), St. Louis, Nashville, Cleveland and Lexington (Kentucky). Dates in Houston, Dallas and Austin come before engagements in Salt Lake City, Denver and Phoenix. Lil Wayne wraps his Welcome To Tha Carter 2023 tour in California with shows in San Diego on May 10, San Francisco on May 12 and Los Angeles on May 13.
The New Orleans native will be presented with a Global Impact Award tomorrow Thursday, February 2 at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles. Other 2023 recipients of an honor awarded by The Recording Academy during Grammy Week to celebrate “personal and professional achievements in the music industry” are Dr. Dre, Missy Elliott and music executive Sylvia Rhone.
