If you’re looking for a watch that truly goes deep, standing out in dark waters and tough conditions, it helps if the dial of that watch is immediately recognizable. Take the newly updated Doxa Sub 200 C-Graph II, which falls right in line with the Doxa Sub 200 line, yet with more streamlined design details.

The key differences in the newest Sub 200 are evident right from the jump, starting with a smaller case size (42mm versus 45mm) and a thinner build than other watches in the already-impressive Sub 200 line.

The watch is still as functional as you’d expect from a pro diving watch, including Doxa’s characteristic three-chronograph design and a bold orange dial.

Doxa notes the handsome stainless steel watch is the perfect example of a “contemporary dive watch,” bolstered even further by a 56-hour power reserve.

The “beads of rice” links are also a streamlined feature that slims things down compared to other, more bulky dive watches on the market.

The uni-directional bezel is a perfectly suitable diving touch, and Doxa knows as much: The new Sub 200 C-Graph II is a “reliable, high-performance tool,” the brand noted.

While the blazing orange dial might be the star of the show, the Sub 200 C-Graph II is also set to debut in six colors, including a vivid light blue.

Rubber strap options complete each watch, while the black dial edition–with hits of red throughout the indices–is also a welcome addition to any watch collector’s portfolio.

To get all that functionality and dive-ready capability (complete with a sunburst dial design) is impressive, made all that much more by its sub-$3,000 price tag.

Starting this April, keep a weather eye on the horizon for the new Doxa Sub 200 C-Graph II.
