Philadelphia Flyers Announce First-Ever Pearl Jam Night

39

The Philadelphia Flyers have announced the first-ever Pearl Jam Night, set to take place on Tuesday, March 28th as the team takes on the Montreal Canadiens at Philly’s Wells Fargo Center.

In celebration of Pearl Jam’s Ten sellout shows in the City of Brotherly Love (“Ten” also being the name of the band’s debut studio album), the Flyers will hold Pearl Jam giveaways and a pregame performance by Pearl Jam tribute band the Ledbetters. Those who purchase a special Pearl Jam Night ticket package will receive a commemorative Flyers x Pearl Jam “Gritman/Stickman” t-shirt and be entered to win an exclusive autographed poster from Pearl Jam. All fans in attendance will also be able to take photos with the Pearl Jam sellouts banner located on the main concourse.

Pearl Jam has had a deep connection with the city of Philadelphia over the years. The band played one the most famous shows of its career, referred to as “The Ten Show”, at Wells Fargo Center on April 29th, 2016, recreating the album Ten in its entirety.

A portion of the proceeds from Pearl Jam Night ticket sales will benefit Peal Jam’s Vitalogy Foundation. Note that tickets cannot be resold as the barcodes will not register on third-party websites. For more information and to purchase tickets, head here.

The Flyers’ Pearl Jam Night joins a growing list of special sporting events celebrating iconic artists. Several teams will honor the Grateful Dead and Jerry Garcia in the coming months, including the New York Islanders, Chicago Cubs, Boston Red Sox, and more.
