Tand Enlists Aqueous’ Rob Houk As Interim Drummer

37

South Florida-based jam outfit Tand announced the departure of founding drummer Ali Nassar due to “creative differences.” The band will be joined on an interim basis by Aqueous drummer Rob Houk.

Houk’s time behind the kit with Tand will begin at the band’s appearance at the Fort20 Festival in Fort Pierce, Florida next month. A fall tour is in the works and the group will release their debut full-length studio album this summer. Aqueous will start an indefinite hiatus after performing at the Summer Camp Music Festival over Memorial Day Weekend.

“Hey friends, due to creative differences, we’ve made the tough decision to part ways with founding member and drummer Ali Nassar,” wrote Tand in an announcement on social media. “We wish our brother all the best and have endless gratitude for his contributions to the band.” The note was signed by Nassar’s former bandmates — guitarist Mike Garulli, bassist Jordan Richards, guitarist Taylor Godsey and keyboardist Daryl Wolff.
