Willie Nelson’s Outlaw Music Festival Tour Returns In 2023 With Robert Plant & Alison Krauss, Avett Brothers + More

Willie Nelson may be turning 90 next month, but the outlaw country icon isn’t slowing down. Nelson’s 2023 Outlaw Music Festival Tour will be the longest to date. The first 16 shows have been announced today with Robert Plant & Alison Krauss, The Avett Brothers, John Fogerty, Gov’t Mule and Trampled by Turtles among those joining headliners Willie Nelson & Family at select concerts.

Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Whiskey Myers, Marcus King, Margo Price, Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway, Kathleen Edwards, Flatland Cavalry, Kurt Vile And The Violators, Brittney Spencer and Particle Kid are also taking part in the tour. Each of the 16 markets has a different lineup. Additional shows will be announced.

Tickets for each of the stops confirmed today go on sale this Friday, March 17 at 10 a.m. local time. Citi cardmembers can participate in a presale starting today (Tuesday, March 14) at 10 a.m. local time and running through Thursday, March 16 at 10 p.m. local time via the Citi Entertainment program. “I can’t wait to be on the road with the amazing group of artists joining us on this year’s Outlaw Music Festival Tour,” stated Willie Nelson in a press release. “It is always a great day of music and fun with family, friends and the incredible fans, and even more special this year in celebration of my 90th birthday.” This year’s tour follows Long Story Short: Willie Nelson 90, a star-studded, two-night concert event at Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on April 29 and 30.

The 2023 Outlaw Music Festival Tour begins in Wisconsin for concerts on June 23 and June 24 in East Troy. It’s then off to the St. Louis area on June 25 and Rogers, Arkansas on June 29. A swing through Texas follows with shows in Dallas on June 30 and The Woodlands on July 2. Willie then brings the trek back on the road after a few weeks off starting in Columbia, Maryland on July 28. Additional stops are set for Bethel, New York; Darien, New York, Gilford, New Hampshire, Hershey, Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Holmdel, New Jersey, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, Burgettstown, Pennsylvania and Cincinnati.
