Blue Ox Music Festival unveiled the 2023 lineup for the event’s Backwoods Stage including performances by Rainbow Girls, Sicard Hollow and more. The ninth annual Blue Ox will take place at The Pines Music Park in Eau Claire, Wisconsin June 22 – 24.
A press release described the sylvan atmosphere of the Backwoods Stage: “Situated within the shady tall pines in the rolling hills of The Pines Music Park – the Backwoods Stage offers a relaxing and serene atmosphere during the day, and a party vibe at night.”
As noted in the press release, the Backwoods Stage boasts both daytime and nighttime lineups. Along with Rainbow Girls, daytime performers include River Valley Rangers, Potluck String Band, Long Mama, Sprig of That, Jerrika Mighelle, Brotherhood of Birds, Danny Frank & the Smoky Gold, Johnson Brothers and Virtual Band Competition winner The Spine Stealers.
Sicard Hollow will perform a nighttime set alongside The People Brothers Band, WuGrass feat Chris Castino & Chicken Wire Empire, Adam Greuel & The Space Burritos, The MilBillies and Feed the Talking Dog.
The aforementioned acts join previously announced 2023 Blue Ox artists Mike Gordon, The Avett Brothers, Sam Bush, Charley Crockett, The Infamous Stringdusters, Sierra Hull, Charlie Parr, Kitchen Dwellers, Horseshoes & Hand Grenades, Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country and more.
