Hookahville, the Midwest’s longest-running music festival returns August 25 – 26 at Legend Valley just east of Columbus, Ohio, featuring four sets by perennial favorites ekoostik hookah alongside Eggy, Funk You, LITZ, Mungion and many more.

Highlighting the weekend will be a pair of hookah sets featuring longtime band member Ed McGee (vocals, rhythm guitar), who was a mainstay in the sextet from 1996 – 2005. These highly anticipated reunion sets will commemorate one of the most celebrated eras in hookah’s 30-plus year run as patriarchs of the Midwest jam scene.

In addition to hookah’s four sets, fans will be treated to up-and-comers Eggy, who have taken the jam world by storm over the past few years. Funk You – one of modern funk’s most electrifying acts – will keep the energy high, while Maryland’s Litz and Chicago’s improvisational wizards, Mungion, will offer festival-goers an eclectic array of soundscapes throughout the weekend. Rounding out the bill are Tand, Subterranean, Dustin Smith (solo), Mind At Large and Lizz Vega.

For the uninitiated, Hookahville – which began on a small farm in Central Ohio in 1994 – unmistakably paved the way for the abundance of festivals that grace today’s scene. Having hosted powerhouse acts such as RatDog, Willie Nelson, Billy Strings, Umphrey’s McGee, Greensky Bluegrass, and countless others, Hookahville continues to serve as the gold standard for the self-promoted, grassroots festival. Now in its 57th iteration, the Hookahville brand continues to thrive well into this century’s third decade.

Sitting just a half hour east of metro Columbus, Ohio, Legend Valley is the crown jewel of Ohio’s festival scene. With its 200-plus acres of rolling hills and scenic vistas – and having played host to acts ranging from The Grateful Dead to AC/DC – the family-owned property will be seeing its 19th Hookahville, more than any other venue in the storied event’s history.

Tickets start at just $115, and can be purchased at hookahville.com.
