Billy Joel recently revealed his record-breaking, sold-out Madison Square Garden residency will end in July 2024 with his 150th lifetime show at the venue. Joel and MSG continue to roll out dates for the monthly run leading up to the finale as today it was announced the Piano Man will play the New York City arena on Thanksgiving Eve, November 22.
The Thanksgiving Eve concert will be the 96th of the residency and Billy Joel’s 142nd lifetime show at The Garden. Eight more performances remain to be confirmed as part of MSG’s first-ever music francise’s historic run.

Billy Joel made his debut at The World’s Most Famous Arena on December 14, 1978. The longtime Long Island resident set the record for “most consective performances by any artist” in 2006 with a 12-show run. Phish’s Baker’s Dozen residency broke that record in 2017. Joel launched his monthly residency in January 2014. He’s since played the arena each month besides a few rescheduled shows due to illness and a pause thanks to the pandemic.
Next up for Joel is a co-headlining stadium show in Philadelphia with Stevie Nicks on June 16. Billy then takes a trip to London for a massive one-off show in London on July 7 before resuming his residency at The Garden on July 24. A full list of tour dates can be found below.
