Music Festival Virgin Reflects On The Magic Of Her First Electric Forest [Video]

Do you remember the first music festival that stole your heart? The sights, the sounds, the feelings, the smells, the people.

Festivals can be a magical, life-changing experience for many, as all of us at Live For Live Music know. In addition to the euphoria of dancing to your favorite artists and the joy of discovering new favorites, music festivals offer a safe space for self-expression and are a breeding ground for connection and camaraderie. In a world brimming with entertainment options, it can be easy to forget just how special these gatherings are, but a video posted by cannabis influencer Dope Kitchen about her first-ever music festival experience at this year’s Electric Forest serves as a humbling reminder of their profound significance.

“I just got back from Electric Forest, and it was my first music festival ever,” the video begins. “It set the bar way too high for music festivals.”

She goes on to describe the joy of her experience and the beauty of the venue. “It’s so well curated, so much art and tiny little details. You could get lost in here for days trying to see and experience everything,” but her attention soon shifts to “what made the experience so magical,” the people.

“I saw the true definition of community here. I met many wonderful people, and I overheard so many conversations that reminded me how kind people can be to each other. I loved hearing people give each other compliments on their outfits, their silly totems. They traded candy and gifts that gave each other hugs, but the most magical moment for me was during the Lane 8 set.

“The set itself blew my fucking mind, bro, but while I was deep in the crowd, in front of the stage, I had the hardest fungus-induced laugh-cry combo from watching people in the crowd play with their lasers and bubble guns. It was a beautiful reminder that every single person at the festival was contributing to the collective joy that we all got to experience because they were being their most authentic selves and allowing themselves to freely play.

“Electric Forest stole my heart and I cannot wait to go back,” she concludes.
