Goose precipitated a western run with a memorable performance at Vibrant Music Hall in Waukee, IA, on September 15th. The night was filled with surprises, including a spirited cover of “Me & My Uncle” and the long-awaited return of “Lily’s Tiger”, which hadn’t been played in over three years. The highlight came in the second set, when the band seamlessly transitioned between “The Empress of Organos” and Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Green River”, closing the show with a soulful “Turn On Your Love Light”.

Goose – “Earthling Or Alien?” – 9/15/24

On September 17th, Goose made its way to The Great Saltair in Magna, UT, where high winds forced a venue change. The first set took off with covers of Spoon’s “Inside Out” and The Clash’s “Rock The Casbah”, complete with teases of Ozzy Osbourne’s “Crazy Train”. In the second set, the band impressed with an adventurous “Madhuvan” that segued into a haunting version of Kylie Minogue’s “Can’t Get You Out of My Head”. The night ended with a “Butter Rum” > “Madhuvan” encore.

Goose – “Zalt” – 9/17/24

From there, Goose traveled west for a two-night stand at Kettlehouse Amphitheater in Bonner, MT. On September 19th, the band unleashed a dynamic first set that included the Goose debut of Radiohead’s “True Love Waits” and culminated in a fiery “Jive Lee”. Night two, September 20th, saw the band dig even deeper, opening with “My Mind Has Been Consumed By Media” into The Wood Brothers‘ “One More Day” (LTP 12/14/19), followed in the second set by Tears for Fears’ “Mad World”, which was nestled within an expansive “Tumble” jam. The energy was palpable throughout, with “Hot Tea” and “This Old Sea” keeping the momentum going, before ending the night with the fan-favorite “So Ready”.

Goose – “One In, One Out” – 9/19/24

September 21st brought Goose to Remlinger Farms in Carnation, WA, where the band continued its streak of boundary-pushing performances. After dropping Bon Iver‘s “AUATC” in the first frame, the second set was a standout, featuring a smooth segue from “Drive” into Eddy Grant’s “Electric Avenue”, followed by a powerful rendition of “Red Bird”. The encore of “Dripfield” capped off a Saturday night scorcher.

Goose – “Red Bird” – 9/21/24

Finally, on September 22nd at Edgefield in Troutdale, OR, Goose continued the western run with a cover of The Band’s “Look Out Cleveland”, while the second set’s standout moment was a fluid jam from “Creatures” into The Beatles’ “Tomorrow Never Knows”, before landing on the emotional centerpiece, “A Western Sun”. An encore of “Arcadia” brought the show to a triumphant close.

Goose – “Arrow” – 9/22/24

Across six nights of music, Goose delivered a mix of deep cuts, inventive covers, and thrilling jams, proving once again that the outfit’s dynamic evolution is shining brightly, like “A Western Sun”.
