Cage The Elephant has canceled all of their remaining tour dates scheduled for the upcoming weeks throughout Europe and the U.K. following an on-stage incident at Pinkpop in Landgraaf, Netherlands over the weekend, which left guitarist Nick Bockrath physically unable to continue performing for the near future.

According to the announcement shared by the rock band from Kentucky late Tuesday night, the band has canceled all upcoming dates on their European tour from June 12th through June 20th.
“Sadly, our guitarist Nick Bockrath had an accident on stage at ‘PINKPOP’ and injured his leg badly (ruptured PCL, torn ACL, fractured tibia, damaged meniscus),” the band said in a statement shared to its Facebook page. “He tried to play through two shows, but he now requires immediate surgery and is currently getting the medical attention he needs.”
Fans who have purchased tickets to the band’s upcoming shows within the specified dates above will receive a full refund from point of purchase.
While their European tour may be canceled, the band’s upcoming co-headlining summer tour throughout North America alongside Beck and Spoon still looks to be on. The tour is scheduled to begin on July 11th in Ridgefield, WA. The band released its fifth full-length studio album, Social Cues, back on April 19th via RCA.
