Gimme Shelter In Place is JamBase’s new daily archival video series launched for fans who right now can’t go see live music. Canceled concerts and music festivals due to social distancing and sheltering in place in response to the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic brought a halt to tours around the globe. We know nothing can truly replace seeing live music in person, but we hope the Gimme Shelter In Place live videos provide a taste of those memorable experiences.
Back in September 2018, trumpeter/vocalist Jennifer Hartswick and guitarist Nick Cassarino visited the Bay Area while on tour. We were lucky enough to get the duo to perform a set of songs between performances in San Francisco at Slim’s and the Boom Boom Room. We were also lucky to have our friends at Cellarmaker Brewing open their doors a little early for just us and Jen and Nick, which provided an intimate and relaxed setting for the live session.
Accompanied by the subtle sounds of the San Francisco street traffic and some seriously tasty brews, Nick and Jen performed a few songs from Hartswick’s 2018 solo album, Nexus. The assembled audience of members of Team JamBase and Cellarmaker staff were treated to a live rendition of the album’s track “Stay.” Watch Jennifer and Nick’s performance of “Stay” and all of the Gimme Shelter In Place videos in the playlist below:
Jennifer is one of the artists participating in the Good Vibes Grams program.
