Live Nation Launches ‘Crew Nation’ Fund For Touring Professionals & Donates $5 Million

123

Live Nation Entertainment, one of the world’s largest concert promotion companies, established Crew Nation to help crew members in the live music industry during the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, Live Nation donated $5 million to Crew Nation with the promise of matching $5 million donated by fans, musicians and employees.

“Crew members are the backbone of the live music industry, and we hope you’ll join us in supporting them through this temporary intermission until we can once again unite millions around the world through the power of live music,” reads a note on the fund’s website. “Crew Nation is powered by Music Forward Foundation, a charitable 501c3 organization, that will be administering the fund.”

Applications for individuals in the music industry who are out of work due to canceled or postponed concerts to receive money from the fund will be released on this page soon. Live Nation is currently in the process of connecting with members of teams from the company’s own tours and that process is expected to take a week.

Pearl Jam, U2, Metallica, Madonna, Foo Fighters, Lynyrd Sknyrd and the Eagles are among the acts who have pledged their support to Crew Nation. Fans can help by donating directly to the fund or buying Crew Nation merch. Head to the Crew Nation website for more information including a Frequently Asked Questions section.
