Premier roots-reggae jam outfit Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad are hitting the road this summer, bringing their fantastic brand of groove to a slew of venues along the east coast, as well as some big time festivals.

Giant Panda released their sixth and latest studio album, Make it Better, this past September and it debuted to be the #1 reggae album on Billboard. The new record comes as the latest edition to the band’s multi-faceted canon of roots-reggae work, which has synthesized the styles of everything from americana, to dub, to world beats, and more. Starting nearly sixteen years ago, it was, and still is, the live jamming abilities of Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad that keeps them growing to continually be one of the most entertaining acts to see today–reggae, jam, or otherwise.

Along their tour the band will be joined by a great list of other awesome artists for many of their dates, including a date at Fete Music Hall in Providence, RI, in support of none other than contemporary jamband staple Twiddle. In addition to this, Giant Panda is hitting the festival circuit hard, scheduled to appear at a number of huge fests like Disc Jam, Levitate, Peach Music Fest, and others.

But if you can’t that long–and you shouldn’t!–you can catch the Dub Squad when they come to rock the Hall at MP in Brooklyn, NY this Thursday, April 27.

Rocking this night with them will be Philadelphia-based soul funk band Swift Technique. Consisting of a formidable horn and rhythm section, guitar, keys, and the dynamic vocals of two charismatic singers, the band is a nine piece army of feel-good rhythms and sounds. Together with Giant Panda, it’s sure to be one soul-stirring night of jams.
