Just when it looked like Beck might be ready to settle into the weary troubadour persona of Morning Phase and Sea Change, here’s the video for “Wow,” a single from June that features Beck’s first honest-to-God rapping since 2006’s The Information, by my count.
“Wow” draws ideas both from contemporary Top 40 pop and from the looser half of Beck’s own back catalog.
