Staff Picks Hunter StylesCider and Pumpkin Carving • Sat.-Sun.

Artifact Cider Project in Springfield sources apples from  Pine Hill Orchard in Colrain, so it’s only natural that the crew would stop in at the Greenfield pub Seymour to warm up. This week, they tag-team a cider and carving party, selling pumpkins from Warner Farm to benefit the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts. 3-6 p.m. each day. All ages. 5 Bank Row, Greenfield.  facebook.com/seymourthepub. — Hunter Styles

Live Art Magazine 4 • FridayStaff Picks Peter Vancini

My attention was piqued the moment I heard that this “pop-up” performance takes the structure of a  print magazine. The fourth annual Live Art Magazine features local and regional writers, poets, dancers, musicians, and filmmakers all performing short pieces they’ve created around the theme “listening.” Live drawings by a team of illustrators will provide the only documentation of the experimental theater. 7:30-9:30 p.m. Academy of Music Theatre, 274 Main St., Northampton. $10-$18. — Peter Vancini
