Big Something rolled through Denver on Thursday night, making a pit stop at the Bluebird Theater before continuing the rest of their Colorado tour. The band certainly held nothing back for the performance, making their lone night in Denver a special one to say the least. Their performance consisted of one giant set and an encore, and together, the band put together a hell of a setlist.
After “The Undertow” and “Megalodon” kicked off the first set, Big Something played the entirety of their new album, Tumbleweed, for fans from beginning to end, marking the first time the album has been played completely in a live setting. While working through Tumbleweed took up the majority of their set, after the last song “In The Middle” was played, Big Something moved into a cover of Notorious B.I.G.’s “Big Poppa,” which was a crowdpleaser to be sure, before leaving the crowd with “Love Generator.”
Their encore was similarly stacked, with their final stretch consisting of three “paradise” covers: Stevie Wonder’s “Pastime Paradise,” Coolio’s “Gangsta’s Paradise,” and Weird Al Yankovic’s “Amish Paradise.” After this nonstop paradise jam, Big Something busted out “Pinky’s Ride” to close out the night.
