Mr Bevin tweeted that the shooter is in custody at this time and there were “multiple” injured at Marshall County High School in Benton, Kentucky – about 120 miles northwest of Nashville. Detective Jody Cash of the Kentucky State Police said the “situation is no longer active,” the local NBC News affiliate reported. CNN reported that Darlene Lynn of the Marshall County Emergency Management said seven people were taken to hospitals, some by helicopter.
