Sydney’s annual Vivid Festival has unveiled its massive 2018 music lineup, topped by the likes of Solange, St. Vincent, Ice Cube, Cat Power and Daniel Johns & Luke Steele’s collab project Dreams.
In February, Solange became the first artist to be announced for Vivid LIVE 2018, with four huge shows scheduled in the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall.
Joining her at this year’s Vivid festival, St. Vincent will play a one-night-only performance at Carriageworks in Redfern, which will also host the return of Curve Ball festival — this year headlined by Alison Wonderland.
Meanwhile, Vivid LIVE at the Sydney Opera House will feature performances from American dream-pop outfit Mazzy Star, West Coast rap icon Ice Cube, singer-songwriter Cat Power, Iron & Wine and more.
Sydney Town Hall will be transformed for the inaugural Qween’s Ball thanks to the team at Heaps Gay, while Vera Blue will perform at the Enmore Theatre. Orange Is The New Black star Lea Delaria will also perform her musical comedy and jazz interpretation show.
Other highlights include Purple Sneakers’ 12th birthday at The Lansdowne, and HAPPY and VISIONS at The Lady Hampshire.
Vivid 2018 will take place between 25th May and 16th June. Peep the music lineup highlights down below.
