Splendour In The Grass dropped its much-hyped 2018 lineup this morning, making many people’s dreams a reality and breaking some hearts in the process.
Putting those fake lineup posters to bed, organisers revealed a roster of 101 acts, topped by headliners Lorde, Kendrick Lamar and Vampire Weekend, and backed up by the likes of Khalid, The Wombats, Hilltop Hoods, CHVRCHES, Miguel, Girl Talk, Angus & Julia Stone, Gang of Youths, Franz Ferdinand and MGMT.
Of the 101 acts announced on the lineup today, 43 contain members who identify as female. The lineup also contains the groups responsible for eight of the 10 highest placing songs in triple j‘s Hottest 100 of 2017.
And while the Splendour In The Grass lineup had some music fans hyperventilating…

Arctic Monkeys fans were also fuming, after rumours suggested the band would headline Splendour this year, given the suspicious Splendour-sized hole in their touring schedule.

Splendour In The Grass will return to North Byron Parklands between Friday, 20th and Sunday, 22nd July. Tickets for this year’s festival will go on sale to the general public 9am AEST Thursday, 19th April, but Splendour members and local residents will be able to purchase tickets before everyone else.
