Cher has announced that she’s heading back to Australia this year for a series of huge shows.
Her September/October visit will be her first Australian tour in 13 years and comes after a well-received appearance at this year’s Mardi Gras.
Dubbed her Here We Go Again Tour, Cher will be playing arenas in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Newcastle, Adelaide and Perth.
As Cher says: “My visit to Sydney’s Mardi Gras reminded me how unique and beautiful Australia is. It’s been 13 years since I toured there so I thought ‘let’s do it one more time.’”
This time around it’s likely Cher will be more cautious of our Australian politicians. While watching this year’s Mardi Gras parade she took a selfie with Malcolm Turnbull. She then apologised for doing so after Twitter let her know very quickly about the ins and outs of last year’s same-sex marriage plebiscite.
In the past she’s also called our previous PM Tony Abbott “a twiddle tosser”.
Tonight, Cher will appear on Andrew Denton’s new Channel 7 show Interview where she will no doubt give some insight into her incredible career.
