Slayer are currently on the their final leg of their last ever world tour, and fans are literally doing anything to ensure they don’t miss a moment – including trying to swim back into the concert venue after they were kicked out.
“I was a little inebriated, not like fall-down drunk or nothing, but I was feeling pretty good,” he told Exclaim.
LaRocque was donning an Anthrax shirt, who were the second opening act for Slayer. It would seem full circle, then, that the guitarist for Anthrax, Ian Scott, caught LaRocque trying to swim back into the venue, as The PRP reports.
In the interview with Exclaim, LaRocque said he was taking his time traversing across the water, but he swears it wasn’t because he was pissed blind.
“I wasn’t going fast. I was just trying to be incognito — I had my camouflage hat on, so I thought that might help,” he said.
In news that will shock you, the camo hat didn’t do much for LaRocque’s cause, as security apprehended him and he was given medical attention. Slayer guitarist Gary Holt was impressed by the commitment, as he should be, and attempted to sway the powers that be to let LaRocque back in but to no avail.
LaRocque gave Exclaim some advice for the next person to attend a gig at the Budweiser Stage: “Maybe if you’re going to a show at the Budweiser Stage, bring swim trunks.”
