Well, that was unexpected.
Before Skrillex was Skrillex, he was Sonny Moore and he fronted 00’s screamo band, From First To Last. Seemingly out of nowhere, that band have dropped a new song titled ‘Surrender.’
It’s the band’s first song with Moore on vocals since 2017’s ‘Make War’, which was released on his birthday and featured Blink-182’s Travis Barker on drums. Moore made two albums with the band before his departure into dubstep, 2004’s Dear Diary, My Teen Angst Has a Bodycount and 2007’s Heroine.
While it seems like the band have released ‘Surrender’ as a one-off single, Skrillex is still keeping busy. Despite not having an album or an EP since 2014’s Recess, he’s been picked as one of the headliners for this year’s massive Listen Out lineup.
