Australia’s self-professed “folk punk orgy” festival, HOBOFOPO (Hobart’s Original Folk Punk Orgy), has announced the first set of acts on its 2018 lineup.
Now in its third year, the four-day festival is set to return to a number of Hobart venues this December, with the likes of American folk punks Days N’ Daze, Sydney rockers Handsome Young Strangers, Melbourne trio The Stragglers and singer-songwriter Quinton Trembath announced as part of the festival’s first 2018 lineup.
HOBOFOPO — which is run by Hobart’s Folk Til Ya Punk Records — made its full debut back in 2016.
Six acts have been announced today, but organisers are promising over 25 acts on their final 2018 roster, with their next lineup announcement to be made in late September.
