The 2018 installment of the Sound Summit festival will be held this Saturday, September 8 at the Mountain Theater atop Mount Tamalpais in California’s Bay Area. Organizers of the event revealed Bob Weir‘s band for the festival.
Weir will reunite with his long-time RatDog rhythm section of drummer Jay Lane and bassist Robin Sylvester at Sound Summit. The trio has been dubbed “Bobby & The Chew Toys.” Lane will go on to tour with the guitarist and bassist Don Was under the moniker Bob Weir and Wolf Bros this fall.
Herbie Hancock, Grace Potter, Nikki Lane and Con Brio will also perform at Sound Summit on Saturday. Tickets are on sale now via Eventbrite.
