Margo Price performed a rooftop set in above Third Man Records in Nashville Thursday afternoon. Price was joined by Lilly Hiatt on a The Beatles cover and Brandi Carlile was on the roof to cover a Dolly Parton classic.
Price, Carlile and Hiatt were each nominated at the 2018 Americana Honors & Awards show held Wednesday at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, though all three singer-songwriters went home winless. Third Man Records issued Price’s 2017 album All American Made, which was nominated for Album Of The Year and featured the Song Of The Year-nominated “A Little Pain.”
Hiatt joined Price in a nod to The Beatles famed Apple Studios rooftop performance by covering “Don’t Let Me Down.” Carlile came out to reprise their Dolly-approved arrangement of Parton’s “9 To 5.” Check out clips from TMR below:
