Earlier this week the Dave Matthews Band announced a 10-city Fall Tour. The run comes to a close with a pair of hometown shows, where the group will be joined by old friends the Preservation Hall Jazz Band.
Preservation Hall Jazz Band will “be a very special guest” and open for DMB at John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville on December 14 and 15. The New Orleans-based PHJB last teamed with Dave Matthews & Co. over Labor Day Weekend at The Gorge in George, Washington. Both groups collaborated on “That Girl Is You” as part of Dave Matthews Band’s show on September 2. A portion of proceeds from DMB’s hometown performances will support the redevelopment of public housing in Charlottesville. Tickets go on sale Friday, October 5.
