Bay Area-based indie-rock outfit Go By Ocean will issue a new EP entitled Faded Photographs on December 14. Today, JamBase is pleased to premiere the official video for Faded Photographs single “Come Down.”
Go By Ocean mastermind Ryan McCaffrey tapped bassist Eric DiBerardino, guitarist Clay Welch and drummer Scott Rager to contribute to the EP. “Come Down” also features Tim Bluhm, Kevin Friedrichsen, Shaun Gregg and Danny Eisenberg. The band recorded the EP at McCaffrey’s Oak Valley Recording studio in Novato.
“‘Come Down’ is a song that was born with a singer/songwriter vibe, but I wanted to try some new ideas in terms of production,” McCaffrey tells JamBase. “We put a fat beat underneath the acoustic guitar and decorated the song with several adjuncts which took the song into new territory. It’s opened the door for a lot more possibilities down the road.” Ryan and Clay will soon embark on a European duo tour to promote the single and EP.
