Nine Inch Nails Deliver Bust Outs At Red Rocks

253

On Wednesday night Nine Inch Nails closed out a two-night stand at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado. Trent Reznor & Co. once again went looking into their repertoire as they served up a trio of bust outs during their encore. The industrial rock act mixed things up on the second night at the iconic venue delivering only one repeat during their 16-song main set, which leaned heavily on their 1994 breakthrough album The Downward Spiral and included a cover of David Bowie’s “I’m Afraid Of Americans.”

As they did the previous night, Nine Inch Nails saved their biggest surprises for their encore as they reached for three songs that had gone missing from their setlists in recent years. Reznor first looked to a pair of songs from their 2005 release With Teeth offering up “Nails” and “All The Love In The World.” The former hadn’t seen action since 2009, while the latter was last played in 2013. Next, the band unearthed their cover of Joy Division’s “Dead Souls” — which they recorded for the 1994 soundtrack for the movie The Crow — after a five-year absence.
