Australian rocker Courtney Barnett contributed a track to 10 Years Of Mom + Pop, a compilation celebrating the 10th anniversary of Barnett’s U.S. label Mom + Pop. Today, Courtney released that track, “Small Talk,” which she originally recorded during the sessions that yielded her recent album Tell Me How You Really Feel.
The New York City-based record label Mom + Pop will also celebrate the 10th anniversary with a concert at Brooklyn Steel on October 22. Barnett will perform as will Tom Morello, Alice Merton, Sleigh Bells, Sunflower Bean, Neon Indian and others. Additional contributors to the 10 Years Of Mom + Pop compilation include Morello, Sleigh Bells, Andrew Bird and Lucius. “It was tracked live n i had only just shown it to the band so you can hear me calling out changes n making up a few lyrics on the spot. it’s OUT NOW hope u like it xo,” Courtney tweeted about the new song.
