Facebook launched Music On Facebook Stories and an expansion of Lip Sync Live in an effort to further integrate music on the social media platform. Adding music to users’ profiles will be made available soon, according to the company’s press release.
As its name implies, Music On Facebook Stories means users can now add a song to photos and videos shared via Facebook Stories. Similar News Feed integration is expected to be rolled out as well.
Facebook’s Lip Sync Live expansion added the functionality to profiles in several countries around the world. Lip Sync Live is now available to musicians to use on their Pages as well. Lyrics are expected to be added to Lip Sync Live soon.
