Foo Fighters have been tapped to open The Fillmore New Orleans in New Orleans on February 15 and 16. New Orleans’ own Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue will kick off the festivities on the 15th, while the Crescent City’s Preservation Hall Jazz Band support on the 16th. Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters recently sat-in with both bands in Los Angeles.
The 2,200-capacity The Fillmore New Orleans will be located on the second floor of Harrah’s Casino. Look for the venue to be adorned with original art, vintage concert posters and “touches of contemporary and classic New Orleans.” Tickets go on sale this Friday, October 12 at 10 a.m. CT via Ticketmaster.
