Jeff Tweedy Performs Wilco’s ‘Hell Is Chrome’ With Chris Thile On ‘Live From Here’

This past weekend’s Live From Here With Chris Thile featured a number of guests including Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy. As reported, Saturday’s episode of the radio show originated from Lied Center For The Performing Arts in Lincoln, Nebraska and ended with a memorable version of the Wilco classic “Hell Is Chrome” performed by Tweedy, host Chris Thile and the show’s house band. Pro-shot video of the episode-ending segment has been shared.

Thile and the band started the segment by toying with The Rolling Stones’ “Sympathy For The Devil.” Chris then informed the audience they weren’t going to cover the song and instead started up “Hell Is Chrome” from Wilco’s A Ghost Is Born. Tweedy belted out the lyrics with backing vocals and stirring mandolin work provided by Thile. Watch Jeff Tweedy, Chris Thile and the Live From Here house band team up for “Hell Is Chrome”:
