One of the latest projects from jam scene icon Keller Williams is Keller Williams’ PettyGrass featuring The HillBenders. As the name implies, each show finds Keller and Americana group The HillBenders performing bluegrass-tinged covers of songs by Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers. Williams and the band have played a number of PettyGrass sets over the past few months and recently shared a series of professionally-shot videos from one of their gigs.
The videos were filmed at a Keller Williams’ PettyGrass featuring The HillBenders’ show at the Boulder Theater in Boulder on September 7. Up first is a clip including rootsy renditions of “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around” and “Runnin’ Down A Dream.” Williams and the band also shared live versions of “Even The Losers” and “Here Comes My Girl” from last month’s concert. Next up for the group is a set at the Suwanee Roots Festival in Live Oak, Florida on October 12.
