England’s Mumford & Sons confirmed their most ambitious tour yet, as they will soon hit the road in support of a new studio album entitled Delta. The LP is due November 16 via Gentleman Of The Road/Glassnote Records. Mumford & Sons begins the Delta World Tour in Dublin and November 18 and are currently expected to end the jaunt in Stockholm on May 21.
The tour opens with a series of dates in the U.K. between November 16 and December 2. Mumford & Sons then embark on a short North American Tour in December featuring stops in Philadelphia, Boston, New York City, Washington D.C. and Toronto. From there, the quartet heads to Australia and New Zealand to start 2019. Marcus Mumford & Co. return to North America between February 27 and March 31. More shows in the Northeast are followed by trips to the Midwest, Southeast and a return to the Midwest. The final leg announced today finds the band touring European in late April and throughout May.
“This is the most extensive and ambitious tour we’ve ever done. Travelling the world and playing shows was our initial, and remains to be our primary, purpose as a band,” reads a note from Mumford & Sons. “The Delta Tour is going to be everything and we are going to leave it all on the floor.” Tickets go on sale Friday, October 12.
