135

This year’s Rex Foundation benefit concert at The Fillmore in San Francisco will take place on December 1. Melvin Seals & JGB will headline the action at “How Sweet It Is” with saxophonist Dave Ellis. The show will also feature a set from One Big Guitar.

One Big Guitar brings together the talents of Dan “Lebo” Lebowitz, Scott Law and Bo Carper. The Rex Foundation was created by the Grateful Dead and Family in 1983 to provide philanthropic grassroots support. The organization, which is named after longtime GD crew member Rex Jackson who tragically died in 1976, aims to help secure a healthy environment, promote individuality in the arts, provide support to critical and necessary social services, assist others less fortunate than ourselves, protect the rights of indigenous people and ensure their cultural survival, build a stronger community and educate children and adults everywhere. GA tickets for How Sweet It Is are on sale now via Ticketmaster. Reserved seating is available via RexFoundation.org.
