Spafford Busts Out Radiohead Cover In Boulder

144

Arizona jam quartet Spafford kicked off a short run in Colorado with a performance at the Boulder Theater in Boulder on Friday night. Spafford kept fans on their toes by dusting off a Radiohead cover for the first time in over six years as part of the evening’s encore.

The quartet opened Friday’s show with recently debuted original “When It Falls” and continued a focus on newer material with “My Road (My Road)” and “Radio.” Long and jammed out versions of fan-favorites “Leave The Light On” and “Todd’s Tots” were split by a cover of Atlanta Rhythm Section’s “So Into You” to close out the frame. Spafford came out for the second set with somewhat rare originals “Double Time” and “Shake You Loose” before embarking on an expansive “In The Eyes Of Thieves” that spanned nearly 25 minutes. The pairing of “The Postman” and “Weasel” ended the second set. Guitarist Brian Moss led the band through Radiohead’s 1992 debut single “Creep,” which had been shelved since a lone performance in 2012, to start an encore that also featured “Salamander Song.” Watch pro-shot video the entire concert below:
